SmartLid Scone-Nuts

Vanilla Yogurt scone-nuts!


If you like sugar you need to try these scone-nuts! A mix between a scone and doughnut. Flavoured with vanilla greek yogurt and dusted with lots of icing sugar they make for a very tasty treat. The steam/crisp function of the Ninja Foodi smartlid lends its self perfectly to these.


Ingredients


220g greek style vanilla yogurt (buy the best you can as this adds all the flavour)

250g plain flour

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

250ml water for steaming

Icing sugar

Strawberry jam to serve


Method


Whisk together your sugar and yogurt and then combine with the flour, baking powder and salt.


Form into a dough and kneed for a few minutes.


Roll your dough into a circle that is about 2cm thick and then cut into quarters.


Place your water in the Ninja pot and place the cook and crisp basket on top.


Spray the basket with frylight (I like to use the butter version here) and then place the dough quarters into the basket and spray them on top with frylight.


Cook on Steam/airfry for 10-12 mins at 165C until golden brown. You may want to check from about 8 minutes.


Remove and toss (while hot) in your icing sugar. Serve warm dipped into strawberry jam.
