These mozzarella and pepperoni packed pull apart pizza rolls are delicious. Serve warm so the mozzarella oozes out with every bite.

We used the Ninja Foodi Smart Lid as it has a prove function and a fantastic steam crisp cooking function but you could adapt and do this in an oven.

If you wanted a vegetarian version just omit the pepperoni. You can also add things like olives, sun-dried tomatoes etc.

Ingredients

For the dough:

450g strong white bread flour (and extra for dusting)

7g sachet of yeast

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

2 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for greasing)

300ml tepid (approx 36C water)

For the filling:

200g grated mozarella

4 tbsp Tomato puree

2 tsp mixed herbs

100g pepperoni

To Garnish:

handful of fresh chopped basil

Method

Add flour, sugar, salt and yeast to a bowl

Combine with the oil and water and mix into a dough

Turn out onto a board and using extra flour to dust knead for 10 mins (5 mins if using a machine).

Oil a spring form cake tin and place dough inside.

Place bottom layer of reversible rack into the Ninja Foodi pot and place tin with dough on top.

Prove for 60 mins at 35C (or until doubled in size).

Tip to onto a floured board and roll into a rectangle

Spread the tomato puree onto the dough, scatter with your mixed herbs and then place on pepperoni and mozzarella.

Roll into a huge sausage and cut into 8 pieces.

Arrange back in the tin and prove for a further 60 mins at 35C.

Once risen place 250ml water into the bottom of the Ninja pot and choose COMBI-STEAM then STEAM BREAD and cook for approx 15 mins at 180C (check towards the end of baking incase it burns).

Remove once cooked and allow to cool for 5 mins then remove from the pan, Garnish with fresh basil and serve with a tomato sauce to dip.
